| Elected Officials
The popularly elected seven-member City Council is the legislative body of Pickerington. Duties and responsibilities of Council include:
- Possesses exclusive appropriations power
- Appointment of the Law Director, Finance Director and City Engineer
- Concurrence on the Mayor's appointment of the City Manager
- Making citizen appointments to several boards and commissions
Council appoints the four standing Council committees:
- Finance Committee
- Rules Committee
- Safety Committee
- Service Committee
The City Manager is the Chief Administrator of the City whose duties include:
- The day-to-day operations of the municipality
- Supervision of municipal employees
- Appointing all employees except those appointed by Council
