Volunteers In Pickerington Program


 

 

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER DAY

Saturday, October 9th 2010 at 9am

- meet at City Hall, 100 Lockville Rd. -

Sponsored by Mayor Mitch O'Brien

and the City of Pickerington

 

  • Work will take place in the downtown Olde Village area and Victory and Sycamore Parks.

  • Painting, planting, power washing, landscaping, weeding, construction, beautification.

  • Projects will be available for all ages and skill levels. 

A wonderful service opportunity for school and church groups, scouts, service clubs, athletic teams, families and individuals wanting to get involved in their community!

   Grace Fellowship Work Day, May 2010

A group of about 50 members of Grace Fellowship generously donated three hours of their morning on Sunday, May 23rd to work in the downtown old village area.  They cleaned windows, weeded, transplanted and mulched.

    

    

 



Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community and meet new and interesting people.  Assistance is needed at a variety of special events: Annual Easter, Halloween and Christmas celebrations, and other community sponsored  events.  High school students can earn service hours that may apply towards college entrance, National Honors Society, Renaissance and Key Club requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Set-up and clean-up
  • Assisting staff at events
  • Providing safety instructions
  • Providing program/event information
  • Supervising or assisting in craft activities
  • Assisting children at events
