Sycamore Plaza Birthday Party
Saturday, September 1, 2018, 1-4 p.m.

Sycamore Plaza Library is turning one and we are celebrating in a big way!  Stop by for some birthday cake and stay for the petting zoo, live performance with Anna and the Consequences, and a photo booth. And what birthday party would be complete without party games? Come join in the fun!


Library Closed
September 3

All Pickerington Public Library locations will be closed today in observance of Labor Day. Join us in the Pickerington Lions 2018 Labor Day Parade at 10 a.m.!


Early Literacy Classes registration – Fall 1
September 4
Held at Pickerington Main

Rhyme Time - This class is for children ages 9 – 17 months.

Toddler Time - This class is for children ages 1 1/2 – 2 1/2 years.

Tots n Tales - This class is for children ages 2 1/2 – 3 1/2 years. 

Preschool Pals - This class is for children ages 3 1/2 – 5 years. No registration is required.

Family Read Aloud @ Sycamore Plaza
Mondays, 6:15 - 6:45 p.m.
September selection: The BFG by Roald Dahl

Bring the whole family together to listen to popular favorites that all ages will enjoy. Starting September 10, we will read 1-2 chapters every week working our way through to the end of the book.


Buttons for Your Backpack
September 11, 3 - 5 p.m.
This is a free program for tweens and teens.

 

School is back in session and the Homework Help Center is open too! Celebrate with us in the HHC by making a button with our awesome button maker. All supplies provided, no registration needed. Held at Pickerington Main.


How to Write an Essay
September 13, 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
This is a free program for teens in grades 7-12.

Improve your essay writing with a step-by-step guide that includes helpful tips and resources. We will discuss how to choose a topic (especially for persuasive essays), how to find resources of a variety of types (including a special section highlighting our various databases), how to cite those resources and find online help to make sure citations are perfect, and how to edit for conciseness, language, and flow. Held in the Pickerington Main Digital Classroom. Register online or by calling 614-837-4104, ext. 233.


Anime/Manga Club
September 20, 6 - 7 p.m.
This is a free program for tweens and teens held at Pickerington Main.

Hang out and meet fellow anime and manga fans. Discuss all your favorite series while drawing, coloring, crafting, and, of course, watching anime! Please note that anime shown during our meetings may be rated PG-13. Please call 614-837-4104, ext. 246, if you have any questions.


Wildlife Encounter
September 29, 1 - 2 p.m.
Held at Sycamore Plaza

We’re getting wild at the Pickerington Public Library – wildlife, that is! The Ohio Wildlife Center joins us at Sycamore Plaza with 3 animal ambassadors for an educational experience that the whole family will love!  Registration is required.
